"Love your product! I could rant and rave about it for hours... I've been using Respondus since January, and let me tell you what a lifesaver it has been. We have surveys in each of our online courses (over 80 this spring). At the end of the semester, we have to download that data for the different deans. What had taken at least a month was done in one day with Respondus. This is the best tool in which an online university can invest."

StudyMate 1.0 - Create Interactive Student Activities

Are you looking for a way to add high-quality, interactive activities to your online course? StudyMate 1.0 makes it easy to create Flash-based activities without having to know anything about Flash programming, graphic design, or HTML.

Here's how it works. The StudyMate editor provides three basic templates for entering questions or text that will be used in the activities. Each template can generate a variety of activities based on the data that is entered. For example, the "One Answer" template is used to create Flash Cards, Pick-a-Letter, Fill in the Blank, Matching, and Glossary activities. During the publishing step, you indicate which of the activities to include in the Flash (.swf) file and then let StudyMate upload the materials to your online course (or you can upload the files manually).

If you have content that is already in electronic format, such as exam questions or glossaries, it takes even less time to create activities. StudyMate will import materials from MS Word, rich-text, IMS QTI, and Respondus format. In fact, StudyMate can download and import publisher test banks for the leading textbooks in higher education, via the Respondus Test Bank Network. The test banks are available at no cost to instructors who adopt a participating textbook and are a great way to jump-start the development of StudyMate activities.

Substantial discounts are available for campus-wide licensing of StudyMate, with further savings for institutions that license both StudyMate and Respondus 2.0. In addition, an "introductory offer" for StudyMate makes a campus-wide license a particularly attractive option. For information on campus-wide licensing, see http://www.respondus.com/products/respondus_campus.shtml.
