Respondus 3.0.2 Supports Blackboard 6.3 Question Types

The 6.3 release of the Blackboard Learning System doubled the number of question types that were previously available for assessments. Respondus 3.0.2 now includes support for the following new question types in Blackboard 6.3: Calculated, Short Answer, Jumbled Sentence, Either/Or, File Response, Opinion Scale, Numeric, Quiz Bowl, and Fill in Multiple Blanks.

To access these new question types, start Respondus 3.0.2 and then select “Blackboard 6.3+” from the pull-down list on the “Start” menu. If the “Blackboard 6.3+” setting doesn’t appear on the list, it means that you are running Respondus 2 and that an upgrade is required.

If your institution has a campus-wide license of Respondus, you can obtain the 3.0.2 update by starting the Respondus software, selecting “Help” from the menu bar, and then clicking “Check for Update.” Single-user licensors of Respondus 3 can obtain the 3.0.2 update using the same method.

If you are using a single-user version of Respondus 2, you’ll need to purchase an update to Respondus 3 before having access to the Blackboard 6.3 integration (see our upgrade policy at http://www.respondus.com/register/upgrade.shtml ).
