Feature Highlight: Respondus Exam Wizard

What do you do after you've downloaded a publisher test bank from the Respondus Test Bank Network (see related article)? Or, if a colleague provides you a set of Respondus files with hundreds of items, how would you review and select questions from these files for an exam?

The "Exam Wizard" in Respondus makes it easy for an instructor to create exams from publisher test banks or from an existing set of Respondus files. The Exam Wizard is located on the Start menu in Respondus and offers these features:

• Exam questions can be selected from one or more Respondus files.
• You can see the number of questions available in a file (listed by question type), making it easy to plan and select questions for an exam.
• Questions can be randomly selected from a file or selected individually. For example, you can have Respondus randomly select 25 multiple choice, 5 true-false, and 5 essay questions from a file.
• Point values can be applied across entire question types (eg. 5 points for multiple choice, 3 points for true/false, 10 points for essay).
• A tally shows the number of questions selected so far for the exam, plus the total point value.

The Respondus Exam Wizard is easy to use and can save you substantial amounts of time when selecting exam questions from publisher test banks or existing files.
