"I'd like to also express my gratitude for your software. I use Respondus daily and train our faculty in its use. Never before have I worked with a software product that offers faculty so many uses and features, and that is so easy to use. Please pass these compliments on to the developers. They are right on the mark."

Tech Tip: Batch Publishing an Assessment

We’ll be the first to admit that the term “Batch Publishing” is a bit geeky, conveying something that might only be used by a power user of Respondus. But batch publishing is quite simple to understand, and even easier to use.

Batch Publishing lets you upload an assessment or survey to multiple courses (or sections) in a single publishing sequence. So if you’re teaching three sections of a course, you can publish the assessment to all three courses at once. Or, as another example, if an administrator wants to publish a course evaluation survey to 50 courses, this too can be done with the Batch Publishing feature.

Here’s how to do it. Start the Publish Wizard and select the option, “Batch Publish to multiple courses.”

After clicking “Next” on the Publish Wizard, a list of all courses or sections available to your login credentials is shown. Select the box to the left of each course that you want the assessment or survey published to.

Select the additional options shown on this page of the wizard, and that’s it. Respondus will then publish the assessment or survey to all courses selected.

One final note. The batch publishing feature is only available in the Campus-wide Version of Respondus. The single-user version of Respondus doesn’t include this feature.
