"I want to thank you for the perfectly wonderful program — Respondus. I have been using it both at home and in my school office for a year now. It has accomplished just what I have needed, and the "user friendly interface" makes it that much more enjoyable to use."

Respondus 3.5 Streamlined Integration for Desire2Learn

A soon-to-be released version of Respondus 3.5 will streamline the "publishing" step for quizzes from Respondus to Desire2Learn. It's not that Desire2Learn customers can't currently use Respondus 3.5 to create assessments offline. But the "publishing" step is less than ideal because it requires quizzes to be exported to QTI 1.2 format and then imported manually with Desire2Learn.

Engineers from both Respondus and Desire2Learn are finalizing development of a solution that allows direct publishing of quizzes to Desire2Learn courses. Users will also be able to retrieve quizzes from Desire2Learn so they can be edited further in Respondus.

The official announcement of the Respondus/Desire2Learn integration will occur at the Desire2Learn FUSION 2008 conference in Memphis (July 20-23, 2008). A beta version will be demonstrated at the conference, with the final rollout expected in August 2008.

Stay tuned for more information on this partnership!
