Earlier this year we announced the availability of Respondus LockDown Browser for the Desire2Learn Learning Environment, Release 8.13 or higher. Respondus LockDown Browser locks down the quizzing environment in Desire2Learn, preventing students from printing, copying, going to another URL, or accessing other applications during a quiz. Students are essentially locked into the quiz until they submit it for grading.
For quizzes within Desire2Learn, instructors can enable the requirement for Respondus LockDown Browser by going to the quiz settings and selecting the checkbox "Respondus LockDown Browser: Required to take this quiz". If the option below it is selected, students will additionally need to use Respondus LockDown Browser to review the quiz feedback and results.

Pilot Available
A 2-month free pilot is available for Respondus LockDown Browser. To sign up for the pilot, go to http://www.respondus.com/lockdown and follow the instructions at the bottom of the page.
