Let’s start with the quick answer: Yes, Respondus products are compatible with Windows Vista.
But it did require that we issue a minor update for each of our products, as will be the case with thousands of Windows applications. For our own products, the installation programs needed to be modified and we also had to update our online help system to make it work properly with Windows Vista. (We contemplated skipping the fixes for the online help system -- nobody actually reads that stuff, right? -- but level heads prevailed.)
If you plan to install a Respondus product on a computer that is running Windows Vista, make sure to use the minimum version number listed below:
Respondus - Version 3.5.2
Respondus LockDown Browser - Version 1.0.2
StudyMate Author - Version 2.0
With Respondus products now compatible with Windows Vista, there is nothing to hold you back from upgrading your operating system, right?
