Say goodbye to students taking online exams with their companion, Google, that helps them find correct answers. No more worrying about students opening a second browser during a test to peruse other areas of the online course. And take comfort in the fact that students aren’t accessing other applications during an online exam, going to other websites, chatting with a classmate using Instant Messaging, or even making a printout of the test itself.
After 6 months of beta testing at over 150 institutions, the final release of Respondus LockDown Browser is now available for WebCT and Blackboard users. When used in a proctored setting, Respondus LockDown Browser prevents most forms of digital cheating during an online assessment. Click here for a complete product description.
Additional Features for WebCT Vista/CE6 Users
Respondus LockDown Browser is compatible with WebCT 4.x and Blackboard 6.x-7.x, but if your institution uses WebCT Vista/CE6, an even more powerful integration is available through the use of a PowerLink. The “Respondus LockDown Browser PowerLink” provides seamless integration with WebCT Vista/CE6, including the ability to select a “Browser Restriction” setting with one click. Once selected, if a student tries to take the assessment using a standard browser, a warning message will be shown and the “Begin Assessment” button will be dimmed, preventing further progress.

Demonstration Movie
The Respondus LockDown Browser demonstration movie provides a good overview of the main product features. Additional resources and training materials are available to license administrators, including “Quick Start Guides” for instructors and students.
