"I want to thank you for the perfectly wonderful program — Respondus. I have been using it both at home and in my school office for a year now. It has accomplished just what I have needed, and the "user friendly interface" makes it that much more enjoyable to use."

I notice that several features are not functional in Respondus's eCollege personality. When will those be added?
We are working with eCollege staff to add features like "Question Pools" (for randomizing questions), replacing an exam during the publishing step, and retrieving reports. We expect these features to be available in a future release of Respondus.

How do I convert an exam from another course management system to eCollege?
Let's say that you are trying to move an exam from Blackboard to eCollege. These are the steps you would follow:

  1. In Respondus 2, select the appropriate "Blackboard personality" (Bb5, Bb6)
  2. Select the "Retrieval & Reports" tab in Respondus, select "Retrieve Questions", and then retrieve the desired exam(s) from Blackboard. Save the file in Respondus.
  3. Return to the "Start" tab in Respondus and switch to the "eCollege personality". You will be told that the original file was created in a different Respondus personality; respond to whatever prompts that are shown.
  4. Once the exam has been converted, it is now possible to publish it to your eCollege course (go to the "Preview & Publish" tab in Respondus to accomplish this).
