Many software companies, including Respondus, allow purchasers to install the software on a second computer IF it is not possible for the two copies to be running at the same time. Such a license gives purchasers the flexibility (and legal right) to use the software on both a "work" and "home" computer. In addition, it is sometimes necessary to reinstall software to a new computer or hard drive. The form on this web page allows you to accomplish both.
Each installation of StudyMate Author has a unique "Product ID" number, and the Activation Password that you purchase only works with that particular Product ID number. As such, we allow purchasers to request a second Activation Password at no charge. Again, our intent is to provide a legitimate purchaser the flexibility of using StudyMate Author at more than one location.
If you are a registered user of StudyMate Author and would like to obtain a second activation password so that you can use StudyMate Author on a different computer, please fill out and submit the form below. We will confirm your original purchase and will e-mail you a new Activation Password immediately.
If the automatic request system indicates that your original Product ID is not in the database or that you have exceeded your reinstallation requests, you must fill out this form and submit it to Licensing Support. We will confirm your original purchase and will e-mail you a new Activation Password within 3 business days.
