The StudyMate Author 2.0.5.00 patch is only intended for those who already installed StudyMate Author 2.0. You do not have to apply earlier patches before applying the StudyMate Author 2.0.5.00 patch. In addition, all patches are immediately incorporated into the full installation programs that are available from this website, so it's not necessary to apply a patch if you have downloaded and installed the latest installation program from this website. The quickest and easiest way to download and apply the 2.0.5.00 patch is to start StudyMate Author, go to the "Help" menu, select "Check for Update," and then click "Get Update."
If you prefer, though, you may also download the appropriate version of the patch from the links below. Once the patch is downloaded, double-click the file to run a short unzip process that replaces the original StudyMate.exe file.

The StudyMate Author 2.0.5.00 patch includes these features:
- Angel publishing updated to allow publishing to the Lessons folder not just sub-folders within it
- Blackboard 8.x-9.x updates to authentication support including CAS versions 2 and 3
- StudyMate Class format support updated for images in Save As and Import Wizard
- A check was added at startup that the StudyMate Projects folder is present and writable
- A problem with double blank lines appearing was corrected
- Percentage based tolerances in Calculated questions were fixed for negative answers
The patch also includes all fixes and enhancements from previous StudyMate Author patches, including:
- SCORM update for Blackboard 6.3-9.x (for Firefox 3 users)
- Support has been added for publishing to Blackboard Learn 9
- Support has been added for publishing to Blackboard Vista/CE 8
- A problem with downloading some test banks with very long chapter names has been corrected
- A problem creating Crossword puzzles when identical terms/answers are used in the same puzzle has been fixed.
- Branding changes appear throughout the software, from "StudyMate" to "StudyMate Author"
- Features to support Apple's "iPod Quiz" game were added to the Settings and Publishing menus.
- Improvements have been made for importing Respondus documents, including enhanced font filtering
- The Quiz and Challenge games were modified to better support questions containing images, equations and advanced formatting
- For Vista 3 users, the Publish task now includes a "Course List Optimizer" that may improve the publishing speed on some servers
- Fill-in-Blank now supports numeric entries for math questions
- Calculated questions now allow case-sensitive grading of the Units text
- Calculated questions now generate new values each time an activity is started, rather than once per hour
- A fix was added to allow using MP3 audio files with invalid tag data
