The Respondus 3.0.4d patch is only intended for those who already installed Respondus 3.0. You do not have to apply earlier patches before applying the Respondus 3.0.4d patch.
In addition, all patches are immediately incorporated into the full installation programs that are available from this website, so it's not necessary to apply a patch if you have downloaded and installed the latest installation program from this website.

The quickest and easiest way to download and apply the 3.0.4d patch is to start Respondus 3.0, go to the "Help" menu, select "Check for Update," and then click "Get Update."
If you prefer, though, you may also download the appropriate version of the patch from the links below. Once the patch is downloaded, double-click the file to run a short unzip process that replaces the original Respond.exe file.

All Course Management System "Personalities"
- The "Check for Update" installer has been upgraded to support major upgrades (this feature is needed if "Check for Update" is used to upgrade to Respondus 3.5)
Blackboard Personality
- CAS authentication is now supported
- Authentication for the CUNY system is now supported
- Includes a fix for displaying all communities/organizations
- Resolves a publishing issue introduced with a Blackboard 6.3/7.x hotfix
- Fixes a problem with broken image links if the quiz name includes "#"
The patch also includes all fixes and enhancements from previous Respondus 3.0 patches, including:
All Course Management System "Personalities"
- Printing now allows the use of question sets or random blocks
- A rounding error for fractional points in the Exam Wizard has been corrected
- Calculated/Algorithmic Questions - An issue was fixed where factorial(0) was calculating as 0 instead of 1
ANGEL Personality
- Publish - a fix for an image linking problem (this fix requires the latest SP for ANGEL)
- Publish - Quiz images uploaded to an ANGEL course will now survive a course copy
- Publish - a fix has been added for publishing large quizzes
Blackboard Personality
- An issue with listing courses with certain Blackboard servers has been resolved
- Survey files can now be published as pools
- The "Update Settings" task now retrieves the existing settings for an exam/survey
- Provides integration with the final release of Blackboard 7
- An issue with modifying an existing Calculated question has been resolved
- A problem related to opening survey files that were originally created with Respondus 2.x has been fixed.
- A problem with the display of answer choices for Matching questions has been resolved for Backboard 6
- The "Blackboard 6.3+" personality has been enhanced to include eight new question types: Calculated, Jumbled Sentence, Either/Or, File Response, Opinion Scale, Numeric, Quiz Bowl, Fill in Multiple Blanks
eCollege Personality
- Support has been added for random "question pools" (available from the "Settings" menu)
IMS QTI Personality
- The settings for "Save as QTI XML" have been made more clear
- An issue with importing Fill-In-the-Blank and Short Answer questions has been resolved
WebCT Personality
- The "Update Settings" task now retrieves the existing settings for a quiz/survey
- An issue with modify an existing Calculated question has been resolved
- A problem related to opening survey files that were originally created with Respondus 2.x has been fixed.
- The "WebCT 6 / Vista 4" personality was added, providing full integration with WebCT CE 6 and WebCT Vista 4.
WebCT Vista Personality
- A change to the Publish Wizard speeds up the lookup of existing courses/sections
- The "Update Settings" task now retrieves the existing settings for a quiz/survey
